Marcy Friedman: A Lifetime of Art and Spirit
Sacramento artist Marcy Friedman trained at Stanford and was mentored by California masters including Wayne Thiebaud. Friedman’s work blends expressive color, bold linework, and emotional depth. After decades of cultural leadership and a long hiatus, she returned to painting with renewed passion, creating landscapes, still life and figure studies. Now nearing 90, Friedman continues to capture the world with joy and clarity. This exhibition highlights her mastery of form and her enduring spirit as an artist and advocate for the arts.
